Carla Hall Named Keynote Speaker for Specialty Food Business Summit

The Specialty Food Association is adding a litte bit of star power to its upcoming entrepreneur-focused event. Popular TV Chef and Co-Host of ABC's The Chew, Carla Hall, will be keynote speaker at this year's Specialty Food Business Summit in Chicago, IL, April 2-4.

Hall has had a storied career in both the food industry and television, having been a contestant on Bravo's "Top Chef" and "Top Chef: All Stars." Over her career, she has launched several businesses, according to a press release, including a catering and an artisanal cookie company. Her first restaurant, Carla Hall's Southern Kitchen, opened in June 2016. The release describes her approach to cooking as a blend of classic French training and her Southern upbringing, giving a twist on traditional favorites. She has authored two cookbooks: Carla's Comfort Food: Favorite Dishes from Around the World and Cooking with Love: Comfort Food That Hugs You.

Winter Fancy Food Show 2016

The Specialty Food Business Summit is designed with the goal of helping industry professionals better their understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce, operations, and food safety. In addition to Carla's keynote, the Summit will offer seminars in two concurrent tracks, tabletop exhibits, and networking opportunities.
