Abeles & Heymann (A&H) is expanding the reach of its kosher hot dogs to include mainstream retailers like Restaurant Depot/Jetro. The company’s latest expansion comes on the tail of strong demand and continued growth within the Glatt kosher market, which is what urged A&H to zero in on untapped markets.
“Our expansion into Restaurant Depot/Jetro stores bodes well for the Glatt kosher community at large. As more mainstream retailers recognize the value of bringing in consumers of Glatt kosher products, it is the end user who will benefit with cost savings and a selection of higher quality products,” stated Seth Leavitt, CEO of Abeles & Heymann.
Restaurant Depot/Jetro is a wholesale cash and carry foodservice supplier that provides high quality products at everyday low prices. Recently, Restaurant Depot/Jetro explored the purchasing potential of the nearly 200 Glatt kosher meat restaurants in the Tri-State area, leading it to partner with A&H.
According to a press release, the following stores now sell the A&H all-beef 6 to 1 Glatt kosher hot dogs in 5 lb packages:
Founded in 1954, Bronx, New York-based Abeles & Heymann offers lines of Glatt kosher provisions that are sold nationwide at finer kosher independent stores, supermarket chains, and box stores such as Costco and BJ’s.
