Barvecue + Harris Teeter Supermarkets = major retail expansion. A simple equation, but one that makes a world of difference for the plant-based meat brand as it grows its distribution significantly in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States markets.
"Barbecue is all about sharing great tasting food with friends and family," Barvecue Chief Executive Officer, Lee Cooper, commented. "Barvecue creates a plant-based option that gives everyone a seat at the table. Our team is super excited to share Barvecue's quick, easy, and nutritious meal options with Harris Teeter shoppers."
With this new partnership, vegans, vegetarians, and flexitarians alike will have access to Barvecue's plant-based, wood-smoked Pulled BVQ and Carnitas products throughout Harris Teeter's network. According to a release, this includes the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, Delaware, Florida, and the District of Columbia.
In total, Barvecue's products will make their way to the frozen section of 191 Harris Teeter stores.
Where will Barvecue make its way next? Barvecue + X = even greater expansion. Deli Market News will let you know when we solve for the variable.
