Today we are bringing some good news to plant-based consumers as Beyond Meat brings the newest iteration of its Beyond Sausage® to the foodservice sector. The newest version of the company’s popular product offers a juicier, more flavorful experience and meatier texture, allowing foodservice operators to further increase their creativity in the plant-based arena.
“Beyond Sausage is the No. 1 selling plant-based dinner sausage in broadline foodservice,” said Dawn Lockwood, Vice President and Head of Foodservice at Beyond Meat. “This is an excellent product made even better, and we’re confident that operators and guests are going to be impressed by the enhanced taste, texture, and juiciness of the new Beyond Sausage.”
Available in three varieties—Brat Original, Hot Italian, and Sweet Italian—the new product features an enhanced flavor profile and new aromatic blend of spices, including garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Made with simple, plant-based ingredients like peas and brown rice, the plant-based sausage is easy to cook and can be conveniently prepared on a flat top, grill, or skillet, a press release explained.
