Put your hands together for Bimbo! Grupo Bimbo and Bimbo Bakeries USA recently received the 2024 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the seventh year in a row.

The ENERGY STAR program honors a select group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to energy efficiency and the transition to a clean energy economy. According to a press release, these efforts have saved more than 5 trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity over the past 30 years.

Grupo Bimbo and Bimbo Bakeries USA recently received the 2024 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the seventh year in a rowBimbo also received EPA ENERGY STAR certification for 16 of its U.S. facilities, marking the eighth consecutive award for a number of these locations. This recognition positions the company within the top 25 percent of national commercial bakeries for energy efficiency in adherence with strict performance levels set by the EPA.

Regan. “I congratulate this year’s ENERGY STAR award winners for their innovation and leadership, in delivering cost-effective energy efficient solutions that create jobs, address climate change, and contribute to a healthier environment for all.”

Three bakeries also achieved the ENERGY STAR Challenge for Industry, recognized for their efforts to reduce energy intensity by 10 percent within five years.
