Borden is entering the season of bloom with a newfound spring in its step. This week, the dairy processor and distributor named Candace Palmarozzi as its new Vice President Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, effective immediately. Borden is hoping that the latest addition to its leadership team will bolster its efforts in the dairy category.
“I am proud to join Borden on its journey to reinvigorate the brand and be a leader and visionary for the dairy industry,” said Palmarozzi. “I’m eager to help the company achieve its financial goals and also be part of an all-new financial leadership team that is committed to fostering a People First culture.”
After graduating with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Texas, Palmarozzi spent more than 10 years in public accounting at PwC, serving as a subject matter expert, and the last five years holding a variety of accounting and finance executive positions with Lennox International.
Most recently, she served as Lennox Commercial’s Business Unit Controller, in which she led the accounting and financial planning and analysis functions. In addition, she owned the technical accounting function and SEC reporting process; managed a wide variety of accounting, operational, and SOX issues; and oversaw FP&A at the segment and business unit levels, according to a press release. Palmarozzi is also a Certified Public Accountant, with significant experience in technical accounting issues across various industries, and is expected to graduate with her MBA from Northwestern University this June.
“We are delighted to welcome Candace to Borden,” said CEO Tony Sarsam. “She brings impressive and varied experience across a variety of industry and accounting functions, and her position will help the company become even more efficient and effective as we strive for continuous improvement in everything we do.”
Palmarozzi marks the completion of Borden’s finance department’s executive team. Late last year, Borden named Jason Monaco Chief Financial Officer and Eric Downum Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Congratulations to Candace Palmarozzi on her new role!
