With a name like Bread Man Baking Company, it is no wonder that fans of the brand have praised the products of the artisanal bread maker. As its following continues to increase, Bread Man is making its move from being available in only the Greater Houston, Texas, area to the shelves of Whole Foods Market bakeries across the southwest region of the U.S., giving more consumers the chance to become die-hard fans of the brand.
“We’re truly proud to work with a like-minded company that holds such high standards that mirror those of our own,” said Tasos Katsaounis, CEO and Founder. “Six months into Bread Man Baking Company’s existence, Whole Foods contacted us, and that was a dream come true. Now, to be able to expand our reach not only to the entire state of Texas but also to neighboring states, well, I never would’ve imagined this to come from fulfilling a passion that began in my home kitchen. We’re humbled to share a deep family legacy and provide access to fresh, artisan-crafted products. I get to tell my family and friends in Dallas that they can go to their local Whole Foods Market and buy our breads. I can’t thank Whole Foods enough for supporting our bakery and giving us the opportunity to expand our reach to other communities and share our love for artisan breads with them.”
According to a press release, the company will roll out its handcrafted products in new communities across 48 Whole Foods Markets in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma on October 27.
The Bread Man brand of products touts simple ingredients and integrity when it comes to the process of making its bread. All products are naturally leavened and made with no artificial preservatives, artificial additives, or high fructose corn syrup, and use only premium ingredients sourced locally in Texas. The bread is also made with unbromated and unbleached premium flours sourced from Texan mills.
“We are always looking to offer delicious, artisan products for our shoppers. Bread Man Baking Company supports our Whole Foods Market mission, and we’re thrilled to support the expansion [of] a local Houston favorite for communities throughout the Southwest to enjoy,” said Jessica Johnson-Keller, Southwest Regional VP for Whole Foods Market.
At the start of each season, Bread Man Baking will provide shoppers at Whole Foods with a new range of specialty breads. This fall, the company is unveiling four varieties to spice up the holidays including:
“The expansion within Whole Foods is a dream come true, and we’re overjoyed with the growth of this relationship,” continued Katsaounis. “The ability to showcase our products to a new audience is exciting. Whole Foods gave us the creative liberty to create seasonal flavors, so we came together as a team and immediately explored our own favorite holiday flavor combinations.”
As the bread maker continues to expand into more Whole Foods locations, it has ramped up its production, already in the process of tripling its production and storage facility space to meet the new demands.
