Castello is bringing the love for cheese back onto the menu as it launches its CASTELLO® Burger Blue Cheese Slices for foodservice. Leah Sbriscia, Castello’s Brand Manager, took a beat with me to discuss the delectable new product.
“Burger Blue Cheese Slices are the perfect addition to any foodservice operation as the cheese is conveniently sliced and made to melt,” Leah tells me. “Our slices can transform burgers into an epicurean delight—but they shouldn’t be limited to just burgers. The slices can lend an exquisite touch to any dish. The creamy and characteristically tangy notes of blue cheese feature a balanced sweet and salty undertone with the ability to elevate many menu options.”
The new product is aged to perfection over 60 days resulting in a full flavored, salty, and sharp cheese.
Castello’s newest item is currently available for foodservice in units of 7 x 550g (19.4 oz), and it is creatively crafted in Denmark from fresh cow’s milk and cream. The company’s cheeses cover a wide range of traditional regional recipes, and its unique crafted cheeses are always made with natural ingredients and great attention to detail.
“Our master cheesemakers amplified the best qualities of traditional Danish blue cheese to create Burger Blue Cheese Slices,” Leah explains. “Since 1893, Castello has brought a balance of innovation and tradition to the art of cheesemaking.
