Crescent Foods is widening the distribution network of its robust lineup of Halal hand-cut offerings throughout the Midwest, as the company has announced a new partnership with Meijer. In teaming up with the retailer, Crescent Foods’ chicken products will be available in over 258 stores throughout Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
"Today, the lingering effects of the pandemic are still felt as labor and other challenges impact availability for specific chicken items. This has created a perfect storm as high-demand grilling season gets underway for America's favorite protein," said Huthyfah Abed, Executive National Sales Director. "We are pleased to offer popular products for the grill and for all Americans who seek chicken raised and processed with care, including those seeking Halal hand-cut standards."
With summer barbecue season right around the corner in the Northern Hemisphere, Crescent Foods is using this partnership to meet the demand for consumers seeking Halal hand-cut items, a press release explained.
As shopper interest continues to grow, Crescent Foods offers fresh chicken products that are produced using no antibiotics ever, vegetable- and grain-based diets (no animal byproducts), and adherence to strict animal welfare standards, making them all-natural with no artificial ingredients or preservatives.
Products now found at Meijer include boneless, skinless chicken breasts; thin-sliced chicken breasts; tenders; boneless skinless thighs; and drumsticks. All items come in a more sustainable, recyclable plastic tray, emphasizing Crescent Foods' commitment to environmental stewardship.
