David Stis is joining the Del Monte Foods’ team as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer. The new Chief appointment comes just as Del Monte Foods is making major moves to expand its product offerings into new categories like frozen foods and refrigerated deli and enter the convenience and foodservice channels. In his new position, Stis is anticipated to play a key role in leading this growth and expansion.
"I love Del Monte's growing pipeline of new product innovation and look forward to digging in and collaborating with the team to help grow revenue and profitability," said Stis, who brings over 29 years of industry experience to his new role, in which he will be responsible for Del Monte Foods’ sales in all channels, including retail grocery and foodservice.
Stis' resume includes sales leadership and experience at household brands like PepsiCo/Frito Lay, Glanbia Performance Nutrition, and Dean Foods.
Specifically, he spent 22 years with PepsiCo, where he served in various roles, including Vice President of Sales. While with Glanbia Performance Nutrition, Stis was the Senior Vice President Sales; with Dean Foods, he served as Vice President of Sales, leading the national account organization.

"David's initial focus will be to strengthen the sales of our core products and expand sales of our new products within traditional categories, new categories, and emerging sales channels."
According to a press release, throughout Stis’ career, the one constant has been his ability to grow revenue and margin contribution while representing leading brands. He earned both his bachelor's degree and MBA from Indiana University.
