Make way for a new executive over at Del Monte Foods! The supplier announced its latest leadership appointment, adding nearly 30 years’ worth of experience to its team. So, without further ado, say hello to Del Monte’s new Chief Financial Officer, Jim Caltabiano.
Caltabiano will be overseeing the management of Del Monte Foods' financial organization while reporting to Parag Sachdeva, Chief Operations Officer. He is a seasoned finance professional with experience within several large consumer packaged goods companies.
According to a press release, Caltabiano previously served as Executive Vice President and CFO for Ajinomoto Foods North America, overseeing the $1.2 billion food division of the global company's North America division.
Prior to that role, he spent 10 years at Campbell Soup Company, where he held multiple financial leadership roles, including CFO of Campbell's $1 billion Fresh Division. He originally joined as Vice President of Strategic and Financial Analysis for the North America division. He held subsequent roles as VP of Finance for Campbell Canada, VP of Finance and interim General Manager for the company's Away from Home division, and General Manager for Plum Organics.

Earlier in his career, Caltabiano held various finance leadership roles at Procter & Gamble and General Mills. The press release went on to note that he studied finance and marketing at Syracuse University and received his MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business.
