A new company has made its debut in the bakery sector, adding a health-forward twist on classic baking mixes. TruEats, a line of baked goods mixes as well as a zero-calorie sweetener, has launched, delivering a unique approach to at-home baking that brings together nutrition and taste for consumers to enjoy.

This all-new healthy line of baking mixes uses traditional Eastern ingredients like chickpeas, buckwheat, moong dal, urad dal, and monk fruit. According to a press release, all products in the line have a low Glycemic index and are made with no added sugar. Additionally, they are also free of gluten and grains and are 10 percent plant-based and vegan.

As part of its debut launch, TruEats has introduced four products including Zero Calorie Premium Sweetener, Pancake & Waffle Mix, Brownie Mix, and Dutch Chocolate Muffin & Cake Mix.

TruEats was founded by Surinder and his son Daven to satisfy a need in the market for healthy baked goods products that meet a wide range of dietary needs. Together, the father-son duo have a combined 60 years of experience working for big-name CPG brands and in collaboration with classically-trained chefs that have brought the brand to life.

Surinder has served for over 40 years in senior level innovation and R&D positions at companies like Quaker Oats, PepsiCo, Warner-Lambert, Mead Johnson, and Wrigley, honing his expertise on the market. His son, Daven, brings experience as a food marketer for PepsiCo, Kellogg Co., and Mondelēz to the team, which ultimately helped form TruEats.
