Titletown Cheese Trading Co. is officially under new ownership. Last week, the Green Bay Press Gazette reported that International Gourmet Products bought the Wisconsin-based cheese manufacturer and processor and three related companies’ inventory, a warehouse, and other assets for $2.5 million.
On Monday of last week, Brown County Circuit Court Judge Tammy Jo Hock approved International Gourmet Products' bid—which the news source noted was the highest and best offer to emerge from an auction held March 13 regarding Titletown Cheese.
International Gourmet Products also makes and processes cheese for retail and foodservice, making its latest acquisition one that will bolster its operations. Specifically, the Green Bay Press Gazette noted that both International Gourmet Products and Titletown Cheese Trading Co. have built their businesses around operating as brokers between producers and sellers.
A representative from International Gourmet Products confirmed the acquisition last week.
