Pushing the ignition on its expansion plans, The GIANT Company revealed it will be opening multiple new locations in the coming weeks. GIANT is focusing on its Pennsylvania footprint with two new stores: one to open in Philadelphia on June 24, and the second to open in Richboro on July 1.
“As a company, we are committed to helping connect families over a meal by offering convenient, time-saving, and fresh meal solutions, whether in-store or online,” said Manuel Haro, Divisional Vice President of Greater Philadelphia. “Our new North Broad and Richboro stores reinforce that commitment to our customers while also continuing our growth strategy within the city of Philadelphia and the surrounding communities.”
The Philadelphia store on N. Broad St. will stand at 50,700 square feet and employs approximately 150 full- and part-time team members. GIANT’s Richboro store will employ 170 full- and part-time team members within the 49,800-square-foot location.
Both stores will feature GIANT’S signature fresh departments such as fresh meat and seafood, a bakery, and other convenient offerings like a hot foods section, sushi made in-store, and a Beer & Wine Eatery. The stores will also offer GIANT Direct, which provides the opportunity to order groceries online for easy pick-up or delivery.
These new stores build on GIANT’s already impressive growth in the greater Philadelphia area. In 2021, the company opened four new stores in the city, including its urban flagship store GIANT at Riverwalk. GIANT also opened a state-of-the-art GIANT Direct E-Commerce Fulfillment Center in Philadelphia.
Deli Market News will continue to follow the retail trail.
