Summer will be here before we know it, folks! Now is the time to start planning your seasonal displays decked out with all of summer’s most beloved food items. “Our R&D team is always researching unique ingredients and recipe concepts to find tasty dishes that are unlike anything we have in our existing portfolio. Social media is a great tool that we use to check out trending recipes. We are always staying up to date on food blogs, Pinterest, and trending restaurant menus,” Melanie explained. “Our team usually starts with upwards of 10 concepts we feel would be great additions to our product lineup. From there, we conduct tastings to narrow it down to two to three flavor profiles.”

As Melanie relayed, these two new salads would be best promoted next to other summer favorites such as hamburgers, hot dogs, or sandwiches. In addition to placement, offering a store program to encourage consumers to purchase these two items together would be an excellent way to promote and an approach that has been extremely popular among customers.
