Crispy, juicy, and plant-based. These are just three of the alluring aspects of Impossible Foods’ plant-based chicken portfolio, which has recently been expanded with the addition of Impossible™ Spicy Chicken Nuggets, Spicy Chicken Patties, and Chicken Tenders.
“Our chicken products caught on fast with consumers, and they’ve served as a successful entry-point to our brand,” said Sherene Jagla, Chief Demand Officer. “In retail, our original nuggets are leading the plant-based chicken category in dollar sales, and in foodservice, consumers prefer them to animal chicken nuggets. We’re excited to expand on the platform’s success, and we expect this category to continue to be valuable for our brand.”
The trio of new chicken products builds on the success of the brand’s flagship Impossible™ Chicken Nuggets for restaurants. According to a press release, the launch doubles the size of Impossible Foods’ chicken from plants portfolio to a total of six offerings, including the original Impossible Chicken Nuggets, Wild Nuggies™ and, most recently introduced in August 2022, Impossible Chicken Patties.
The Spicy Chicken Nuggets and Patties bring a blend of custom spices to the crispy, tender bite of the brand’s original plant-based chicken recipe, and the all-new Chicken Tenders feature a deliciously savory blend of spices in a larger, elongated shape for different eating occasions. I don’t know about you, but my stomach is growling just thinking of these flavorful new additions.
As one of the fastest-growing plant-based meat brands in the United States, Impossible Foods achieved record sales in 2022, seeing great success across both retail and foodservice.
Impossible’s new Spicy Chicken Nuggets, Spicy Chicken Patties, and Chicken Tenders will be available in the frozen aisle at select retail locations starting this month, followed by national availability in the coming months. Impossible Chicken Tenders can also be enjoyed in select foodservice locations across the country.
