Klondike Cheese Company Wins Best in Class at World Championship Cheese Contest

So many awards, so little time! Klondike Cheese Company recently took home one Best in Class title, four second place awards, and four third place honors at this year’s World Championship Cheese Contest. Best in Class honors went to Odyssey Peppercorn Feta, a masterfully crafted cow’s milk feta cheese with cracked black peppercorn.

Luke Buholzer, Vice President of Sales, Klondike Cheese Co.“We are extremely proud to have taken home nine top three awards at this prestigious contest as we are competing with the best in the world,” stated Luke Buholzer, Vice President of Sales, when asked about the win—and what it means for the company. “Our cheesemakers and staff are passionate in creating consistent, high quality cheese and Greek yogurt, and that shines through on the judging table.”

A press release noted that the second place awards went to Odyssey 3.2% fat plain Greek yogurt, Odyssey lowfat vanilla Greek yogurt, and Buholzer Brothers Havarti and Buholzer Brothers dill Havarti. Third place awards went to Odyssey plain Greek yogurt, 3% fat vanilla Greek yogurt, Buholzer Brother Brick, and Buholzer Brothers dill Havarti.
