One of the most common snacking occasions for many consumers is the late-night or before-bed treat. Bringing new offerings to shoppers looking for the perfect nighttime snack, Nightfood Holdings has revealed plans to roll out its new Nightfood sleep-friendly cookies in July.

Sean Folkson, Chief Executive Officer, Nightfood“With our national ice cream hotel rollout now fully underway, we believe it’s time to take advantage of expansion into additional formats,” stated Chief Executive Officer Sean Folkson. “Like our ice cream, there is no sacrifice of taste or texture for consumers making a better nighttime snack choice. These are delicious cookies, which were specifically formulated to be both healthier and more sleep-friendly. That makes them a natural fit for hotels. And now, even hotels that don’t have ice cream freezers will be able to make Nightfood snacks available to their guests.”

The first flavor set to hit store shelves is Prime-Time Chocolate Chip, with cherry oat and snickerdoodle flavors nearing development completion and expected to be in production in the coming months.

Each serving of Nightfood sleep-friendly Prime-Time Chocolate Chip cookies contains approximately 40 percent less sugar, 40 percent less fat, 20 percent fewer calories, 200 percent more protein, and 500 percent more fiber than the leading cookie brands, a press release explained. Nightfood’s cookies are gluten-free and nut-free, with an oat flour base that is naturally rich in melatonin. Date syrup is used as a sweetener due to its health benefits, such as higher antioxidant content and lower glycemic index.

As explained in the release, each Nightood cookie serving will also deliver 500 mcg of vitamin B6, 500 mg of inositol, and 250 mg of jujube powder, along with other nutrients and ingredients selected to provide a more sleep-friendly nutritional profile for bedtime snacking.

Nightfood recently released its sleep-friendly ice cream last month, rolling out the product in hundreds of hotels across more than 40 states. As this offering continues to see impressive growth, the company is expanding its portfolio of snack formats to achieve greater consumer trial and higher revenues.

A delicious treat that contributes to a great night’s sleep? What more could shoppers ask for?
