Pompeian® Expands Olive Oil and Vinegar Offerings

New products are ready to make their way to shoppers' pantries, as Pompeian® has revealed an expansion of its olive oil and vinegar offerings, launching three new innovations to help shoppers eliminate confusion in the aisle and meet the needs of varying taste buds.

"The initial introduction of Pompeian Smooth Extra Virgin Olive Oil in 2015 resulted in incremental sales growth to Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil, so we knew there was a need for further innovation to meet the different taste preferences of our valued consumers."

The new olive oil offerings include Pompeian Organic Smooth Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which features a unique progression in flavor that builds off of the brand's existing Extra Virgin Olive Oil portfolio, according to a press release. Pompeian will be expanding the range of flavor experiences featured in this line, adding Smooth and Robust varieties. The Smooth variety features a milder taste and is ideal for sautéing and stir-frying, while the Robust variety is packed with flavor and is crafted for marinades and salads. The brand will also be growing its olive oil line with the addition of Light Taste Olive Oil, perfect for frying and baking; Mild Taste Olive Oil, fit for roasting and sautéing; and new Rich Taste Olive Oil, which is ideal for grilling and using in sauces.

To position the brand for even more success amongst consumers, the company is also revamping its olive oil line to a high-quality, green bottle, which enhances the preservation of the products inside.

"At Pompeian, the difference is our quality and we are always innovating toward what's best for our consumers and retail partners," Monroe said. "Our green bottles, which are already used for our extra virgin olive oil offerings are overwhelmingly preferred by consumers, as they preserve the oil's quality, flavor, and aroma, thanks to a UV protectant and green tint which protects the oil against light degradation."

In addition to the expansion of the olive oil line, the company is also introducing its gourmet vinegar line, Pompeian Rosé Balsamic Vinegar, which offers a light, fruity taste that will provide shoppers new ways to craft dressings and marinades.

Pompeian's new olive oil and vinegar offerings will be available this spring and summer at retailers nationwide.
