The founders of better-for-you snack brand RW Garcia, Robert and Margaret Garcia, were recently inducted into the Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) Hall of Fame. Their induction will be honored at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, June 23-25.
“Everything we’ve done at RW Garcia comes from a place of wanting something better for ourselves, our family, our environment, and our customers,” said Robert Garcia, President and CEO, in a press release. “We have a passion for better, from our manufacturing practices to our ingredients to our end products. Being inducted into the Specialty Food Hall of Fame is a wonderful affirmation of what we’ve worked toward and stood for over the past 37 years, and we’re so incredibly honored.”
The company began in 1982, after the Garcias wanted to bring healthy, gluten-free tortillas to market. Made without preservatives, additives, or GMOS, the tortillas made RW Garcia a household name and earned the brand its Non-GMO project verification. Throughout California, the brand’s popularity has increased and it can now be seen nationwide.
Congratulations to Robert and Margaret on this high honor!
