NEW YORK, NY

As one of the largest B2B-only specialty food and beverage shows in the United States, the Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) Summer Fancy Food Show (SFFS) is sure to set the pace for the rest of the year in the specialty food industry. With the event just days away now, I had the chance to get some event teasers directly from the SFA.

Bill Lynch, President, Specialty Food Association"The Summer Fancy Food Show has endless opportunities for discovery," said Bill Lynch, President. "With robust educational programming, diverse exhibitors from around the world, and companies both new and established, attendees are certain to make valuable connections and come away inspired."

Plenty of excitement will be moving across the show floor, as the association has a ton of highlights in store. SFA will be hosting its Awards Celebration Presentation of the Lifetime Achievement and Leadership Awards, the Specialty Food Hall of Fame, and the announcement of New Product of the Year and Product of the Year sofi™ Awards, which will take place Sunday, June 12 starting at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow.

In addition the event will highlight the Pavilion of BIPOC-led and founded companies, the Incubator Village with brand-new companies showcasing products that are ready to launch, as well as the Startup Pavilion; the Deli Pavilion; the Beverage Pavilion; the Confectionery, Snacks and Sweets Pavilion; International Pavilions; and U.S. State Pavilions.

The show will host Diverse, Equity & Inclusive Exhibitors Via Map Your Show and a Trendspotter Panel with Melanie Zanoza Bartelme; Mikel Cirkus; Jenn de la Vega; Jonathan Deutsch, PhD, CHE, CRC; Victoria Ho; Brian Lofink; Patsy Ramirez-Arroyo; Kantha Shelke, Ph.D., CFS; and Stan Sagner. The SFA Media Center in collaboration with the Food Institute will be livestreaming Show coverage via YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and specialtyfood.com.

Last but not least, the SFA Product Marketplace digital showcase will include member exhibitor brands and products; the What’s New, What’s Hot in Specialty Food bestsellers will be all together in one not-to-be-missed location; and there will be an End-of-Show Food Rescue and Donation with City Harvest.

On a final note, Bill let me know that the SFA is working with New York City to ensure that all show safety protocols meet the needs of the specialty food community.

For those of you who will be hitting the show floor beginning Sunday, be sure to keep an eye out for the Deli Market News team.
