Sysco recently announced that another leader will sit among its ranks. The distributor selected Robert Marques to join its Board of Directors, an appointment that went into effect on August 15, 2024.
Marques brings a wide range of expertise to this position, all across different sectors. According to a press release, he currently serves as a Board Director at Alcoa Corporation, We Mean Business Coalition, and the US Tennis Association Foundation.
From 2016 to 2022, he led the expansion and transformation of Natura & Co, starting in the position of Board Director and then as Executive Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to that, Marques was an Executive Vice President and President for North America at Mondelez International. He also spent over 25 years at Johnson & Johnson where he held various global executive and senior positions.
