Furthering its reach in the rising plant-based sector, US Foods has unveiled a new distribution partnership with Planet Based Foods Global. Adding this supplier to its team, the distributor will be able to grow its portfolio of plant based foodservice products to meet rising demand.
"As our new distribution partner, we are thrilled that US Foods will be debuting the Planet Based Foods brand to their significant customer base, highlighting us as a premier and unique offering in their substantial plant-based and healthy-eating portfolio," said Planet Based Foods' President and Chief Executive Officer Braelyn Davis. "We are very excited to be working with one of America's leading food distributors and look forward to expanding our product reach through this evolving partnership."
To start, the company’s plant-based offerings will be distributed by two of US Foods’ key divisions in Southern California, La Mirada and Corona, a press release explained. These divisions supply a variety of products to restaurants, business and industry, healthcare, and other independent and multi-unit operators across the region.

Both US Foods divisions will stock The Original Burger, Mild Breakfast Sausage Patties, and The Italian Sausage Crumble. Additionally, the Green Chili Southwest Burger and Hot Breakfast Sausage Patties will be available for special order.
