As companies continue to expand and grow, it’s only expected more space is needed to reach their full potential. Volpi Foods has reached this necessary stage of growth once more, announcing its plans to open a new production facility in the greater St. Louis, Missouri, area.
“We’ve seen a demand for our pre-sliced products surge in the last year especially,” said Volpi’s CEO Lorenza Pasetti. “Consumers look for accessibility and ease, and our sliced products meet those needs. In addition to growth in production capabilities, the new production facility allows us to continue to make an economic impact here in the greater St. Louis area. This will always be home for us, so we look forward to expanding our team and offering new jobs in the area.”
Volpi has seen sales of pre-packaged specialty cured meats continue to increase year-over-year. The state-of-the-art facility will be Volpi’s second facility in Union, Missouri, and is expected to begin operations on April 19. Volpi is actively recruiting 20 additional employees to join its family.
According to the release, Volpi’s new facility will sit at 70,000 square feet and will be devoted entirely to slicing and packaging products ranging from Prosciutto, Salame, and Mortadella to Bresaola and Pancetta. With this new facility, Volpi is sure to continue meeting increasing demands.
