It seems that last week wasn’t the last of executive shakeups at Weis Supermarkets, as the retailer has recently revealed even more changes to its leadership ring. Shortly following the announcement that the company had promoted Bob Gleeson to Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing, Weis announced the promotion of Greg Zeh to Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer.
Zeh joined Weis Markets in 2016 as Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and since then, has overseen the reorganization of its Information Technology (IT) department at a time of significant growth. Zeh also led the development and implementation of IT solutions, which in turn generated business value and engaging customer experiences while overseeing the management of technology risks.
According to a press release, Zeh also worked in IT and finance positions at food retail and service industry companies including Price Chopper/Market 32 and Mazzone Management Group.
In his new role, Zeh will continue to oversee the day-to-day activities of the company’s Information Technology team. In addition, Zeh will also be responsible for adding new responsibilities for enterprise data and analytics while also working cross-functionally with its senior leadership on the development and execution of key strategic goals and initiatives. He will continue to report to Kurt Schertle, Weis Markets’ Chief Operating Officer.
We here at Deli Market News offer our congratulations to Greg Zeh on his recent appointment!
