We’re always on the lookout for acquisitions in the grocery sector, and one recently popped into our sights. Yoke’s Fresh Markets, a regional Washington State grocery chain, entered into an agreement to buy two Missoula Fresh Market locations.
"At Yoke’s, our mission is to expand our services to this new market," John Bole, the Chief Executive Officer for Yoke’s Fresh Market’s, commented in a report from the Missoulian. "Yoke's is excited to expand our family."
Yoke’s, which currently consists of 17 stores, will take the two new Missoula Fresh Market locations and transition them to the Yoke’s Fresh Markets model.
According to the news source, this means there will be an increased focus on organic and specialty products.
The deal itself was facilitated by The Food Partners, who were the strategic and financial partners for Missoula Fresh Market.
We’ll continue to be on the lookout for updates across the retail sector, so stay tuned.
