In a felicitous gesture, California Lavash, the flatbread company based in Garlic-mecca Gilroy, California, has announced the addition of Garlic Naan to its line of hand-stretched breads.
“Because we’re based in Gilroy, known as the garlic capital of the world, we were naturally compelled to create a flatbread to showcase this essential culinary ingredient,” says Lilea Eshoo, California Lavash’s Marketing Director, in a press release. “We teamed up with Christopher Ranch to make this unique bread, which features only fresh garlic—never dried or powdered—for the authentic taste California Lavash is known for.”
The company’s newest product has already hit the shelves at Safeway, Whole Foods, Raley’s, Nob Hill, Bel Air, and independent retailers throughout Northern California. Packages going to local stores will come with a call out sticker letting customers know that the product is the result of a unique partnership between two Gilroy-based family-run food companies.
The company’s new Garlic Naan joins the company's Traditional and 100% Whole Grain varieties. Tasters and testers have given the company enthusiastic reviews, noting the new naan’s strong garlic flavor, especially tasty when heated.
Like all California Lavash’s products, the company’s Garlic Naan is vegan, Non-GMO Project Verified, and reflects the company’s commitment to authenticity, product integrity, and deliciousness.
