Flowers Foods has announced the promotions of Mary Krier and Chad Johnson to Senior Vice President of Communications and Corporate Responsibility, and Vice President of Distributor Communications, respectively.
Mary Krier has over 25 years of experience with Flowers, and has consistently risen within the ranks over the years. Prior to her joining the company, Mary worked as a writer for trade and consumer press in the Chicago area after obtaining a BA in English Literature/Writing from Rosary College of Dominican University in River Forest, IL, according to a recent press release.

Similarly, Chad Johnson has a long and storied history with the company, starting out as a Sales Associate at Flowers' Villa Rica, GA, bakery in 1995. He then zig-zagged a bit to hold various positions ranging from roles in information systems to human resources, before ultimately landing at the corporate office inside the communications department. After his move, he was again promoted several times before entering his current role. His responsibilities now include overseeing independent distributor communications, in addition to providing communications support for distributor relations and sales staff.
