With the enticing colors, and subsequent smells, of the perfectly crafted baked goods covering the show floor of IDDBA, we found some of our favorite new products amongst this year’s exhibitors.
As Sara Kafadar, Vice President of Sales, recently told me from the hub of the floor, Izzio Artisan Bakery has the history and skill to make the top of consumers bread list.
“Our number one seller is always going to be the San Fransisco Style Sourdough, people love that,” Sara says as we discuss the artisan breads that have made the brand famous.
Izzio uses heritage grains composed of rye, barley, and seven different starters for its memorable taste. To aid in the complexity of the each bread’s flavor and taste, the company also buys freshly-milled flour before letting it ferment for three days.
“We can truly, honestly say that we make bread like it was intended to be made hundreds and hundreds of years ago,” Sara finishes.
