Miller Baking Expands Pretzilla Products, Adds New Production Facility

Tuesday, January 9th, 2018

With demand on the rise for the popular Pretzilla® Pretzel Bread line, Miller Baking Company is intent on bringing its signature light blue and brown striped packaged Burger Buns, Sausage Buns, Mini Buns, and Bites to more retailers, restaurants, and homes around the country. To meet this demand in 2018, Miller Baking company is adding a second production facility that will eventually create 30 jobs in Milwaukee slated for opening soon.

Brian Miller, Owner, Miller Baking Company“As part of the Milwaukee community for nearly 100 years, we’re excited and honored to continue the resurgence of the downtown area,” Owner Brian Miller said in a company press release. “We’re proud that Pretzilla is made in Milwaukee. By increasing production, we look forward to bringing a piece of the city to even more homes around the country.”

Previously used for a local fresh bakery operation, the second production facility is located just two blocks from the new Milwaukee Bucks arena and will be completely remodeled to include new equipment. Like the existing Pretzilla facility, it will be completely free of peanuts and tree nuts.

“I have tremendous gratitude for the generations of customers who have enjoyed Miller Baking products, like rye bread, challah, and donuts,” said Miller. “Their support helped make Pretzilla possible.”

The Pretzilla expansion follows two new products introduced last year: the Pretzilla Bites Tub, a shareable pack of 36 bites that’s great for entertaining, and the Pretzilla Bites with Cheese Dip, a convenient, snack-size pack of six bites and premium cheese dip.
