In an innovative attempt to get high with marijuana, a woman was arrested with five kilograms of the drug disguised in dough at the Dubai International Airport. The Dubai Criminal court was told the dough was discovered inside the 24 year old Nigerian woman’s luggage bags by customs inspectors on May 22, and she faces an upcoming hearing on September 5
"She said she didn’t know about the dough and that the bag did not belong to her, but to a man in her country who asked her to deliver it to a compatriot in Dubai," said a customs inspector, according to The National.
The woman informed investigators that a man would be waiting for her in Al Muraqqabat area. Police arrested the man after watching him for more than five hours, according to the report.
The pair denied a charge of possessing drugs to sell, while the man denied an additional charge of consuming drugs. The man, 23, told judges that traces of drugs found in his body were from medicine he was prescribed.
