A congratulations is in order to Pillsbury™, which, just this past weekend, set the Guinness World Record for the ‘Most cookies/biscuits iced in one hour.’
On Saturday, December 10, Pillsbury associates joined shoppers for the first-ever National Cookie Decorating Day at the Mall of America® to celebrate the occasion and inspire families to get into the holiday spirit by decorating cookies together.
Along the way, a total of 1,169 cookies were iced making cookie-decorating history, according to a press release. The event was such a success that Pillsbury plans to celebrate National Cookie Decorating Day every second Saturday in December.
“We all know how quickly the holiday season can come and go with shopping lists, errands, and full social calendars,” said Michelle Peterson, Pillsbury’s Marketing Director. “At Pillsbury, we decided to designate a day encouraging parents to have some holiday fun with their kids, decorating cookies and creating memories and traditions to last for years to come.”
That’s not all the fresh dough manufacturer has for the holidays. The company plans to help parents get creative this holiday season through its Cookie Countdown, which features unique, fun, and easy cookie recipes every day through December 25, along with decorating tips and tricks.
Will Pillsbury dare to break its record for the next National Cookie Decorating Day? You’ll have to wait and see on December 10, 2016…
