Rubicon Bakers is tapping into this widely-felt sentiment by launching its new holiday product line: Peppermint Fudge Layer Cake. And as we enter the holiday season, the company shares that it believes baked goods are more than just sweet treats—they “Bake a Better World” with its mission to hire and support those with barriers to employment to bake the delicious products it offers, using natural and clean ingredients. The new 6-inch Peppermint Fudge Layer Cake costs $12.99 and offers a decadent, classic chocolate cake with cool candy cane filling and frosting, drizzled with a rich chocolate glaze. To top it off, an all-natural candy cane crunch is woven throughout the cake mixture.

This is the newest addition to the company’s holiday SKUs—which includes Pumpkin Pie Cupcakes and Peppermint Fudge Cupcakes, with suggested retail prices of $4.99, and a 6-inch Pumpkin Praline Cake, with a suggested retail price of $12.99. Over 1,600 Kroger locations throughout the U.S., as well as independent grocers, will offer the new Peppermint Fudge Layer Cake this holiday season. Whole Foods Market locations, Northern California Safeway stores, and independent retailers will offer the rest of the holiday line.

The company is offering these products with a strategic approach to marketing its best foot forward. A recent Nielsen study shows that 73 percent of consumers feel good about brands that share the “why” to purchase products, prioritizing goods made with all-natural ingredients from companies that use conscious practices, according to a press release. To do this, Rubicon Bakers attempts to offer an extra layer of delight for consumers wanting naturally delicious products made with integrity, the company explains.
