Sara Lee® Introduces Bakery-Style Artesano™ Bread

Making room for its first-ever bakery inspired bread amongst its line of buns, breads, and breakfast rolls, Sara Lee has announced the launch of its newest product, Artesano™.

"Breads like Sara Lee®'s new Artesano™ are a rarity on the grocery shelves, and we're excited we can bring this quality product to consumers who value flavor and texture, and are looking to make their routine meal remarkable," said Ben Buch, Brand Manager for Sara Lee® bread, in a press release. 

Sara Lee® said that its newest bread bridges the barrier between grocery and bakery foods with its texture and taste, and its release comes with perfect timing for testing its versatility.

"Artesano™ bread elevates any recipe it touches, and it's the perfect way for consumers to bring their sandwich creation to the next level in honor of National Grilled Cheese Month,” continued Buch.

In addition to the paninis, bread pudding, and French toast options that the company said are classic options, Sara Lee® released the following list of grilled cheese creations for customers to test out the new product with:

  • Aloha Pork Grilled Cheese: Hawaiian flavors
  • Farm-to-table Grilled Cheese: veggie focused
  • Zesty Grilled Cheese: featuring pickled vegetables

Sara Lee® said that it first tested the product in eight key test markets across the country, where the company said it quickly rose to one of the top-selling products. Sara Lee®’s Artesano™ bread is available now in stores in 20 oz. frosted bags.
