A great cracker is an undervalued thing. With the right bite, taste, and texture, a great cracker can transform a banal eating experience and help elevate a dip, cheese, or spread. And, if the mood strikes, they're a great standalone snack.
I recently had the opportunity to talk to Jim Anderko, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Venus Wafers, to learn more about the company, its exceptional offerings, and what makes the company’s Mariner brand offerings so unique.
“Venus is a family-owned company, established in 1931, located in Hingham, Massachusetts. Third generation; our owner Luke Barmakian runs the company day-to-day. We have around 20 full-time employees, and a long history of making healthful, nutritious crackers and flatbreads,” Jim explained to me.
And with its latest offerings, Venus Wafers is carrying this tradition forward, employing the company’s cracker-making knowhow to meet the most current trends.
“We have the new Mariner Organic Little Dippers™ and Thin Wheat and Clubhouse flavors. Now we have the water crackers, Stoned Wheat crackers, and organic flatbreads,” Jim added. “Why retailers would want this item is it hits all the highlights right now that the consumers are looking for: organic, non-GMO, vegan, kosher-approved.”
