An update from Belle Chevre recently revealed that the company has repositioned its popular Spreads as Log in a Cup™. Even more exciting news is in store regarding this top-tier offering, as it was recently named the 2023 sofi™ Gold Product Award Winner in the Cheese - Non-Cow Milk, Mixed Milk category by the Specialty Food Association.
“We’re incredibly honored to have won the gold award for our spreadable fig goat cheese,” said Pierre Guérin, Co-Owner and Director of Sales and Marketing. “Admittedly, fig has been one of our best-selling flavors for a while. Its honey-like sweetness has a subtle hint of berry which, together with the zing of chèvre, is loved by everyone who tastes it. While fig is a unique flavor in the goat cheese category, our product is appreciated by goat cheese aficionados as well as those who say they’re not a fan of chèvre.”
According to a press release, the brand’s Fig chèvre is noted for its creamy texture and taste, with a natural sweetness from the real fig paste which balances the tangy goat cheese. This beloved lineup recently underwent an enticing refresh, as Belle Chevre has updated its packaging graphics to include a stylized mention, ‘log in a cup,’ which will be in stores this summer. The flavors available include 6 oz cups of Fig, Honey, and Original.
“Up until now, goat cheese consumers have had to accept that chèvre is packaged in thin, flimsy film, which is often challenging to open and never resealable,” noted Guérin. “Our objective is to make goat cheese more user-friendly (accessible and versatile) than ever by reminding consumers that our chèvre sold in a resealable cup offers the same organoleptic qualities they expect, but with the convenience our cup provides.”
