Residents of Basehor, Kansas, will soon have access to a new, full-service Fareway Stores location. The retailer recently announced it will be submitting an application for development for a Fareway Meat & Grocery location in the city.
"We are excited to announce plans for a new, full-service location in Basehor," said Fareway Chief Executive Officer Reynolds W. Cramer. "We would like to thank local city officials for helping make this project possible, as we look forward to serving and becoming an integral part of the thriving Basehor community."
The location is approximately 21,000 square feet, a release explained. By opening this store, Fareway will continue to grow its footprint in the Midwest, which already includes 139 locations in seven states.
Fareway will use the Basehor store to bring its full-service meat department, farm-fresh produce, and exceptional customer service to consumers in the area. It will also bring jobs to the region, adding to the company’s more than 12,000 total employees.
If the application is approved, this will be the first of the retailer's locations in the state of Kansas.
