Gelson’s Markets knows how to differentiate itself among competitors. In the retailer’s most recent move, it upped the value of its Long Beach, California, location with the addition of an expansive rooftop bar overlooking the Marina neighborhood.
According to a report from the Long Beach Post, the open-air bar is dubbed “Alehouse on the Mezzanine” and features local craft beers on tap. For many within the neighborhood, the rooftop bar is becoming a local spot to hang out and do some people watching.
The retail chain also offers a complimentary Sip ‘n’ Shop program, in which a Gelson’s associate does the shopping from customers' shopping lists without them needing to leave its downstairs wine bar area.
Plus, with the store amenity located smack dab in the middle of Long Beach’s Marina neighborhood, consumers will be flocking from all over to experience the luxury of Gelson’s rooftop bar.
