With its constant efforts to bolster the foodservice sector, Sysco is undoubtedly a key player in the space. The industry partner has recently revealed its latest effort, as it has entered an agreement with vegan fast food chain Globally Local to distribute the restaurateur’s proprietary manufactured products throughout North America.
The agreement specifically enables Globally Local to efficiently supply its products to its current and future restaurants throughout Canada and the U.S., according to a press release.
With a mission to make plant-based eating affordable, mainstream, healthy, and satisfying, Globally Local creates, manufactures, and distributes its own plant-based proteins and dairy alternatives such as burgers, “ChickUn,” sausage, and mac and cheese.
The vegan fast food chain opened its first location in London, Ontario, in 2016, and currently has two locations and seven more corporate locations in development in Ontario. The company plans to open at least 20 locations across North America in the next year.
To what heights will Sysco take this newfound partnership? Deli Market News will surely tell, so stay tuned.
