With shoppers keeping an eye out for all things local, retailers have cued in on this need. One retailer, Hy-Vee, is kicking it up a notch with the introduction of its “Best of Local Brands” Summit. Now, the summit is on its fourth iteration, and the retailer is hoping to expand and enhance its product offerings at its more than 280 retail stores.

According to the release, Hy-Vee will be hosting its fourth “Best of Local Brands” summit in November to bolster its offerings in its 280 plus retail stores situated in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Eighty-two new brands were selected from the first- and second-quarter summits combined and are available to Hy-Vee customers. Third-quarter summit brand selections take place later this week.

Hy-Vee announced the fourth “Best of Local Brands” Summit will take place from November 3 to 5 to scout the next local brand to expand and enhance its product offerings across its retail stores

The summit will consist of 15- to 30-minute virtual presentations from selected suppliers from November 3 to 5. Currently, the retailer is accepting submissions for its “Best of Local Brands” summit online in the categories of retail-ready products, such as:

  • Grocery
  • Deli
  • General merchandise
  • Frozen
  • Dairy
