Unlocking new capabilities and expanding its worldwide reach, JBS USA has unveiled the construction of its newest automated cold storage facility, built in partnership with Lineage Logistics. This next-generation operation located in Windsor, Colorado, will span over 200,000 square feet and will provide JBS with increased blast freezing and storage capacity and rail access to support the shipment of export products to West Coast ports.

Tim Schellpeper, Chief Executive Officer, JBS USA“This is an exciting project for our company that supports not just our efforts to provide high-quality food for families around the world but also our longstanding commitment to the state of Colorado,” said Tim Schellpeper, Chief Executive Officer of JBS USA. “The new, state-of-the-art facility strengthens our long-term, successful partnership with Lineage, streamlines our supply chain to benefit customers, and improves efficiencies, all while benefiting this region through job creation and local investment.”

The new cold storage facility will be built on land purchased by Lineage Logistics in the Great Western Industrial Park (GWIP), a press release explained. This strategic site is owned and operated by rail and real estate developer The Broe Group. The facility will be rail served by the company’s transportation affiliate OmniTRAX, enabling further bulk shipment efficiency and global reach for JBS.
