Lakesides Foods has introduced a new line of frozen appetizers with a breading specially formulated to crisp up in an air fryer or conventional oven. The line includes breaded green beans, pickles, and Wisconsin white cheddar cheese curds.

Trey Taylor, Vice President of Marketing, Lakeside Foods“These newest products align with eating trends we’re watching, including the growth of frozen breaded appetizers and snacks,” said Trey Taylor, Vice President of Marketing. “They also capitalize on the air fryer craze, giving consumers the ability to make fun, delicious snacks at home with the crispness and flavor of deep-fried restaurant fare.”

All three items are available for private label retail stores and food service distribution to convenience stores and restaurants, with several retailers already placing orders. Beginning this week, the oven-ready breaded green beans will be available at select retail locations across the United States, confirmed a press release.

In addition to these items, the company is also expanding its canned food line with canned organic garbanzo and black beans, both made with Himalayan pink salt. The Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) recently highlighted these new products in their Idea Supermarket showcase last month.

Lakeside Foods is one of the leading private label vegetable producers in the U.S., serving more than 100 private label retail and food service customers. It also produces smoked sausage and hot dogs and has a joint venture with Interstate Foods offering branded and private label frozen whipped topping, smoothie kits, and latte pops, with a majority share of the private label frozen whipped topping market.
