Brooklyn, New York, is the latest market where Lidl has laid plans for a new store location. This will be the retailer’s third location in the city, set to open in 2025 in Downtown Brooklyn.
“Our reception in Manhattan and Queens has been outstanding,” said Or Raitses, Senior Director of Real Estate for Lidl, in an official statement. “We appreciate the enthusiasm for Lidl throughout New York City and look forward to offering our award-winning products to customers in Brooklyn.”
The upcoming Brooklyn store will reportedly stand at 30,000 square feet within the Fulton Street Mall. According to TimeOut, Lidl has also teased plans for additional stores in the Crown Heights and Park Slope neighborhoods of New York.
This store is in addition to another recent opening—a 35,000-square-foot location at Queens Place Mall in Elmhurst. With so many locations popping up in the New York market, it is clear where Lidl’s expansion priorities lie.
