Friday, March 10th, 2023

Three shifts in Lidl GB’s leadership structure have recently taken place. Joining the Board of Directors as a joint Chief Operating Officer is Maciej Tylkowski, while Nan Gibson was promoted to Senior Vice President of HR Concepts at Lidl Stiftung. Stephanie Rogers will succeed Gibson and join the board as well.

Maciej Tylkowski, Board of Directors and Chief Operating Officer, Lidl GBIncluding his time as COO at Lidl Poland, Tylkowski has worked at Lidl for almost 23 years, serving as an executive board member for the past 17 years. After completing an MA in Foreign Trade at the University of Lodz, he joined Lidl Germany as a Store Assistant before rising to senior management positions. Tylkowski moved back to Poland in 2001 where he played a leading role in opening the first Lidl stores in his home country.

In recent years, he has been responsible for creating and overseeing its central sales departments, supporting the operations of stores. As the new joint COO, Tylkowski will be responsible for Lidl GB’s supply chain and will be working closely with current COOs Matt Heslop and Tim Ulbrich, who oversee Lidl GB’s sales and logistics teams.

Nan Gibson, Senior Vice President of HR Concepts, Lidl StiftungAlso moving positions will be Gibson. She has been Lidl GB’s CHRO since September 2016 and has been responsible for supporting the growth and cultural development of the company. She has overseen Lidl’s investment in pay and recruitment with two wage rises last year totaling a combined £50 million (~$59 million USD) investment for store colleagues.

Before Gibson’s departure, the discounter has confirmed that it will invest an additional £13 million (~$15 million USD) in pay rises for Lidl GB colleagues from this month. This includes salaried colleagues, as well as hourly-paid colleagues outside the M25 who will see entry-level pay rates increase from £10.90 to £11.00 an hour.

Maciej Tylkowski, Nan Gibson, and Stephanie Rogers have all been named to new roles within Lidl Great Britain’s leadership structure

As noted in the release, Rogers will be succeeding Gibson as the new CHRO for Lidl GB.

Rogers joined Lidl GB in 2022. Since then, Rogers has been focused on enhancing the colleague experience and working on recruitment, development, career progression, and employer brand and engagement as the current Director of Employee Lifecycle and Experience.

Ryan McDonnell, Chief Executive Officer at Lidl GB, commented on the recent leadership changes.
