Maine Crisp’s search for a new Director of Sales is over! The artisanal snack producer recently announced that it has appointed Read McNamara, Jr. to the role, following a successful candidate search with Fairfield Partners, a recruitment firm specializing in CPG companies. McNamara will channel over 15 years of sales experience in the natural and organic food products segment to accelerate the company’s national expansion.
“I envision my role as building awareness around buckwheat as a great domestic, gluten-free crop that has many health benefits, as well as being a regenerative crop that is popular with pollinators,” McNamara explains. “We are supporting Maine growers’ economy and the Maine manufacturing economy, and doing it with a delicious, high-quality product that delights both gluten-free and gluten lovers all in one box.”
McNamara takes a creative approach to sales, producing memorable, effective strategies that have energized both emerging startups and legacy brands, a press release explained. His sales career has been focused exclusively on natural and organic food and beverage offerings, aligning with his passion for providing products that benefit people and the planet.
He joins the team at a key point of growth for the company, as Maine Crisp recently secured national distribution deals with KeHE Distributors and United Natural Foods, Inc.; a presence in all New England Whole Foods Markets; and a new manufacturing facility that offers a tenfold increase in production capacity. With this growth, Maine Crisp has the infrastructure and capacity to support McNamara as he develops new relationships with retail, distribution, and hospitality partners.
“Read is a great addition to our growing team,” adds Karen Getz, Founder and President. “His experience, professionalism, and enthusiasm will be instrumental to our growth plans. He intuitively understands our customers and market, and as a bonus, he loved the crisps at first bite.”
The talented CPG leader will be accompanying the Maine Crisp team at the Natural Products Expo East on September 28, 2022.
Congratulations to Read McNamara, Jr. on this new Director role!
