GRAND RAPIDS, MI
Friday, January 19th, 2024

Meijer has recently made a move that we are sure will not only strengthen shopper loyalty but boost ties consumers make between the retailer and fresh. A newly introduced service may soon be driving increased perimeter traffic and consumption as Meijer looks to help customers reach their health and wellness goals this year through the launch of a personalized virtual nutrition coaching service.

Confidential and focused on helping individuals achieve and maintain optimal health, the service targets proper nutrition and dietary choices. Shoppers must be 18 years or older to participate, with Meijer offering 15-minute exploration sessions for free, along with a 45-minute initial session for $89 and 30-minute follow-up appointments at $49 per session.

Meijer is leading its shoppers into the new year with its latest launch: personalized nutrition coaching from registered dietitians

The inventive new offering will be led by Meijer’s registered dietitians, who will offer personalized nutrition guidance for individuals in any stage of their health journey, ABC 4 reported. The coaching service will only be offered in Michigan to start, with plans to expand across the retailer’s Midwest footprint in the future.

An individual’s personal program may include:

  • Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation
  • Education
  • Meal Planning
  • Nutritional Coaching
  • Food Allergy and Intolerance Management
  • Weight Management
  • Behavioral Change Support

Sign up can be done by scanning the QR code on in-store signage or marketing materials or through the Nutrition page on Meijer’s website.

As retailers continue to explore different ways to intrigue customers and broaden their shopping lists, Deli Market News will bring you the latest.
