Tailgate season is upon us, and you know what that means: barbecue. And why should plant-based consumers have to miss out? Luckily, MorningStar Farms has rolled out its new plant-based Steakhouse Style Burgers, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy the flavors of the grill on game day—or any day, for that matter.
"We know shoppers have been seeking a premium plant-based burger option— something that's already seasoned and truly tastes like meat, but with prep simple enough to fit their busy lifestyles," said Joe Beauprez, Senior Director of Marketing, Frozen Foods. "The Steakhouse Style Burger is easy to prep, easy to cook, and deliciously easy to enjoy. We're excited it's hitting shelves just in time for the fall season. Whether it's busy weeknights, tailgates, or a peaceful night at home, these burgers are perfect for it all and provide that elevated taste we all love."
The MorningStar Farms Steakhouse Style Burger is thick cut and has a flavor and texture similar to real beef, a release stated. Preparation of the patties is simple, taking under five minutes to heat up in a skillet, the oven, an air fryer, a microwave, or on the grill.
This new offering contains 42 percent less fat than a cooked ground beef patty, the release continued. It has 21 grams of protein per serving and is a good source of fiber. It is also 100 percent plant protein, PBFA-certified, and fully vegan, joining the brand's wide roster of plant-based offerings.
Rolling out in stores this month, the MorningStar Farms Steakhouse Style Burger can be found at stores like Walmart, Publix, and Target for an SRP of $9.19, which will get shoppers four quarter-pound vegan burgers per pack.
Let all of your consumers experience the thrill of the grill by adding these patties to your stores.
