Shoppers enjoy the delicacy that is cheese in many different ways, and Emmi Roth’s Roth® Cheese has set its sights on pleasing cheese lovers of all sorts. The dairy purveyor has recently rolled out innovative new packaging for its line of Grand Cru® products, featuring eye-catching labels and a shift from wedges to blocks, making the delicious offerings even easier for consumers to use.

Heather Engwall, Vice President of Marketing, Emmi Roth“Our commitment to consumers is to continually develop and evolve our product lines to stay relevant as their needs and lifestyles adapt,” said Heather Engwall, Vice President of Marketing. “With the new look and format of our Grand Cru, customers will be able to provide the Alpine-style products that shoppers are looking for.”

The newly designed labels feature Scherenschnitte, the traditional art of Swiss paper cutting that emerged in Switzerland in the 1800s and remains a tradition today, according to a press release, which also noted that the inspiration of Scherenschnitte symbolizes the art, craft, and skill that is part of the cheesemaking culture at Roth Cheese. The new format is extremely versatile, making it an ideal addition to cheese boards, the perfect partner for at-home chefs, and a go-to snack for any cheese lover.

Roth Cheese has recently rolled out innovative new packaging for its line of Grand Cru® products, featuring eye-catching labels and a shift from wedges to blocks

The updated packaging will encase several of the dairy maven’s popular Grand Cru products, including:

  • Roth Grand Cru: Roth’s youngest, creamiest, and mildest washed-rind Alpine-style cheese, perfect for melting and cooking
  • Roth Grand Cru Reserve: Hand-selected to age at least six months in the Roth cellars, Grand Cru® Reserve is wildly awarded for its bold, savory taste and signature flavor ideal for cheeseboards and entertaining
  • Roth Grand Cru Surchoix: This limited-production World Champion cheese is handmade and then aged nine or more months under the careful watch of Roth’s cellarmasters. This washed-rind Alpine-style favorite is only released when it reaches peak flavors of caramel, fruit, and mushroom

Roth Cheese continues the spirit of Swiss heritage by crafting its award-winning Grand Cru in the same way as Switzerland’s most popular cheese. Fresh Wisconsin milk is heated in copper vats and delicately aged for at least four, six, or nine months, depending on the product, to create its unique and robust flavor.

The new packaging is set to hit shelves this September, so keep an eye out for Roth Cheese’s latest innovations!
