Specialty Food Association unveiled Infinite Aisle in January 2021, and since then, the online marketplace has expanded by nearly 400 percent.
“The advent of Infinite Aisle, especially during such an unpredictable time, has really been a bright spot for our members,” said Bill Lynch, President, SFA. “Facilitating connections and creating opportunities in the specialty food industry is part of our mission, so this tremendous growth in the program tells us we are on the right path.”
Launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, Infinite Aisle has also received a positive reception from retail buyers and distributors who were juggling multiple digital events, a press release noted.
“Infinite Aisle will enable DPI to explore and purchase products both inside and outside of the event environment, year-round, 24/7,” said Beth Haley, Vice President of Vendor Relations at DPI Specialty Foods. “We look forward to utilizing Infinite Aisle during Fancy Food Show 2021 + Fancy Food 24/7.”
In addition to DPI Specialty Foods, distributors such as Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG), Chex Finer Foods, C&S Davidson, MDI, and Associated Grocers of Baton Rouge have signed on with Infinite Aisle. Along with a number of other large distributors getting set up on the platform, they will soon provide SFA maker members access to more than 20,000 retailers.
The release also remarked that Sysco’s Supplies on the Fly unit will be offering Infinite Aisle products to all Sysco customers.
The upcoming Fancy Food Show 2021 + Fancy Food 24/7, a hybrid event, will have Infinite Aisle fully integrated. Fancy Food Show 2021 will run September 27—29 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, and Fancy Food 24/7 will run September 27 through October 8.
