Sprouts Farmers Market is doing its part to provide communities immediate fresh and healthy grocery options. To ensure it's reaching as many communities as possible, the organic grocer is expanding on both coasts— announcing new store locations in Jacksonville and Estero, Florida; Pasadena, Maryland; and Silverdale, Washington.
“We’re in this together,” said Sprouts Chief Operations Officer Dan Sanders. “We’re eager to provide you and your families access to the healthy grocery essentials you need during these unprecedented times as quickly as we can.”
Sprouts kicked off its latest expansion effort this week, opening its third Washington state location on April 8 in Silverdale. Next week, the grocer is following up this opening with its fourth Maryland store in Pasadena on April 15. Then it's rounding out its month of new stores by unveiling its second Jacksonville store on April 29. The Estero store will make its debut on June 3. Both Florida locations are 30,000 square feet.
According to a press release, Sprouts is closely following CDC and local health authority guidelines related to COVID-19, while regularly providing store team members with the latest safety guidance, including:
In addition, the new Silverdale location is anticipating receiving daily deliveries to stay well-stocked for shoppers, with certain items' availability pending on opening day in order to open as soon as possible for the community, as noted in a press release. In Florida, on the other hand, Sprouts is planning on hiring an additional 110 new team members to staff both of its new stores.
